MOUTH ODORS CAN BE REDUCED BY GREEN TEA
Many of us have been concerned about mouth odor but really
don't have the opportunity to brush our teeth. How about taking a few sips
of green tea?
Mouth odors are often caused by volatile sulfur compounds
formed in the mouth by oral bacteria. These compounds, even in very small
concentrations, can easily be smelled by other individuals we are close enough
to talk to. Brushing our teeth not only helps remove the odors but many of
the bacteria that are producing them. But brushing our teeth immediately before
meeting with others is not a viable option.
A recent study reported in the Journal of Nutritional Science
and Vitaminology (Tokyo) suggests that green tea seriously helps reduce the level
of these odoriferous sulfur compounds emanating from the mouth, at least for a
while.
Concerned about mouth odors and brushing teeth is not an
option? A few sips of green tea may help. drpaulsupdates.org
